Ms. Martin became a Springfield Estates Eagle in 2018 as the Assistant Principal and is proud to now be the Principal. With 19 years at FCPS, Ms. Martin has also served as an instructional coach at Lane ES, and an instructional coach and classroom teacher at Lorton Station ES. Before working for FCPS, Ms. Martin was a classroom teacher at Spotsylvania Middle School. She was also an enlisted member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for seven years while beginning her educational career.

Ms. Martin is a student-centered leader who uses inclusive decision-making processes that engage families, staff, and students, and empowers teacher leaders. She is an intentional culture-builder who has improved staff morale, expanded opportunities for student recognition and input, and made families feel welcome at school. In leading school efforts to address the social-emotional needs of students in the aftermath of the pandemic, she had aided in emphasizing to the SEES community that the safety and wellness of kids comes first. 

Ms. Martin is the mother of two teenage daughters who make her proud every day. She enjoys spending time with her family on the water and playing board games.
